Lenovo's ThinkPad W520 is trully a mobile work workstation. Its actually the Upgrade version of the W510 mobile workstation notebook. The Intel Core i7-2920XM and NVIDIA Quadro 2000M GPU (switchable to Intel HD integrated grapics) delivers its excellent all-round performance. The full HD display, 1920 x 1080 resolution, 95% colour gamut and a huey PRO colour calibration system application adds to it. Some external changes include the addition of Lenovo company label (on screen front), absense of paint over glass.
But the thinkPad is good in collecting dust, and its audio quality needs to be improved. Certain configurations are too expensive than expected. Experience shows that it needs a good amount of force to tilt the screen back or forward. It all shows that it needs good maintainance from the customers part. Similarities with W510 includes FireWire 400, Expresscard/34, headset combo jack, one USB 2.0, one USB 2.0/eSATA, USB Superspeed 3.0 and a headset combo jack.
